👻Maths:I cant really remember what we did for maths except for mathaletecics and a decimal worksheet which i found pretty boring and easy. 





🐬Reading:We had a proof reading sheet which i (very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very)dislike. i have only found 3 mistakes as they are so hard. 




🐠Writing:We did not do anything in writing.

Reflection Week 2 Term 4

Most of this week i spent doing my camp reflection.'ere is a link to it https://pirkaydenda.blogspot.co.nz/.And the week doing my thank you letter.We had a must do can D0 week and i only got my thank you letter and camp reflection done(but my camp reflection is pretty much a book though)

Camp Reflection LAKES RANCH

Day 1: Arriving there I see some kids hop out of their car screaming something about a giant white turkey chasing them,something along that line, anyway i wasnt listening to them I was listening to the teacher telling us about where to put our bags.But I couldent hear over Preston telling me something. So I just went where everyone else was going. FASTFORDING .Our first activity was the scavenger hunt, but we had a disadvantage because the other groups could have a look around while they were doing their activitys. With the scavenger hunt I found the GD smooth rock that nobody could find(I had to dig a bit to find it though😉)and me and dad hunted for the gorse(and found it)although it was a bit hard to get off(if you know what i mean).In the end the only thing we couldent find was a willow leaf,our time was 24:25. our next activity was raft building, The materials we had were 6 barrels,a large rectangular fishing net(?),a rope with floaty things attached to it and a c**p ton of bamboo. our first boat Elana and Lexi tried and it fell apart in the water😁.Pretty much the same thing happend with the second 1 but we nailed the third 1.We untangled the net and lay it down on the ground,then we rolled 3 barrels onto the net and wrapped the net around the barrels and then(Elana) knotted the rope through the net at the top...and POOF!!! Da surviving boat was made.And then it was slug gun shooting.The sights on our gun weren't set up properly and i kept aiming fr the tn but i couldent get it,the slug kept hitting the haystack below it,the only person in our team(we split up in teams for the competition) that could hit the tin was Lexi. But on my last 3 shots i aimed for the top of the tin and hit the tin!!!after that it was orienteering.I dident really like it that much,George was more interested in the thing inside that big cracked rock,Blake looked like he was dying and i was just following every1 else.But then again my Dad and Mum dont like it either so maybe its just their blood showing into mine. Da surviving boat was made.And then it was slug gun shooting.The sights on our gun weren't set up properly and i kept aiming fr the tn but i couldent get it,the slug kept hitting the haystack below it,the only person in our team(we split up in teams for the competition) that could hit the tin was Lexi. Day 2:our first activity was da mud run.And our mud run instructor had to go to a meeting so my Dad ran the corse with us. this was how it was,1=Elana 2=Blake 3=George+Kayden 4=Lexi. And I dont know where the others came.After the mud run we went in the hot pools for a bit,Oh how it burned!
After that we got dressed and went off to do horse riding,which wasent that different for me considering we have a horse living in our backyard.But still I did enjoy it though. After that it was kayaking.My favorite part in kayaking was when me and Elana setup my Dad.So I started talking to my Dad about all the different types of weed that swans eat,and Elana snuck up behind him and started splashing him.😁😊😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
And then I joined her in splashing him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I almost fell out of my kayak i was laughing so hard.After that we were meant to be doing rock climbing but apparently the man in charge of it was,once the kids had rung the bell he would just drop them and give them a(BIG)scare.So we went into the hot pools for half an-hour.And we had a boys vs girls water fight and guess who won???Yep if you guessed girls you guessed right😢.But it was unfair cause There was 6 girls and 3 boys. FASTFORDING .Then at night we did a burma trail.
we had to get into groups of 7, though apparently those weren't the groups that we were going with.
Blake was behind me and Lexi in front.And what gave me a fright was that some parents were scatted throughout the bush and kept scaring us!!!(well,everyone except me.Cause everytime a scare happend it happend to Lexi instead of me😀)And after that I fell asleep so fast.And in the morning we had to pack up and clean our rooms before we could have breakfast.And after that we went to a natural hot spa and me and Preston found candle wax under the ledge???And after that we went back to school.

Term 3 Review

So far this term has been EPIC!!!I have Enjoyed the term heaps.My favorite part of the term was probably production.As hard as it was in that itchy costume i enjoyed it quite a lot.

Are we a wasteful society

I think you know we are wasting water but do you know we are wasting things that affect our environment in a negative way.Prepare to be shocked as you listen to these true facts…

1Water, just by leaving one tap dripping you can waste around a litre of water a day,Also check your dishwasher’s energy/water rating.most dishwashers waste 15 litres in one wash, that’s crazy!!!Hand washing dishes saves about 8 litres of water. Drinking Water is only 1% ,97% of the water on the planet is too salty 2% is too icy leaving 1% available to drink.So think again when you’re about to turn on the dishwasher,Think, could I hand wash or am I not bothered?

Next, thrown away electronics.This has a big effect on our environment , it can cause environmental problems. They can also contain harmful materials like lead(led),cadmium,beryllium and more.More importantly, it exposes personal data.Hackers will find it easy to hack your account which might have your credit card number,paypal number or whatever you use.Don’t throw away old tech.

You probably don’t know this, but people are wasting A crud ton of good meat. You’re probably thinking’ how are people wasting meat?well here’s the answer, hunting. People shoot 300 pound deer only getting the trill,fur and trophy head out of it.Or just too lazy to carry it around.Recreational people are people that fish and hunt for families or themselves.yet commercial hunters/fishers just go for the money.Commercial fishers can catch up to 90 fish only wanting one species.throwing about 70%of them back DEAD!!!

So now you know,don’t throw away rubbish or more importantly don’t throw away old tech recycle it,if you’re a hunter leave dead prey out there and don’t waste water.

Reflection Week 9 Term 3

This week in maths (i don't remember what we did😁)
In writing we are doing similes and i think i am getting quite good at doing similes i have quite a good simile I am quite proud of; The floorboard creaking was like a bone slowly,slowly braking
and in reading i dont think we did anything😁.

Reflection Week 4 Term 3

In maths This week we have been doing division a lot.This is the bonus question that early finishers do,7÷49836258700 = 07119465528r4.




In reading we have been doing the usual stuff...AND STATIC IMAGES!!!  I like doing static images a lot because I found it amazing how Light,bright and colorful and Dark,Dreary and Gloomy culers can change the picture a lot.Also I haven't found any of the mistakes in the proof reading as it is quite hard👲🎍🏄.

Reflection Week 2 Term 3

In Maths we have been doing division and I feel quite comfortable with it now.78➗6=13(I think).

In Reading I still have only found 8 mistakes in the proof reading as this one is quite hard.Also I like the new book talk system as its more efficient and I don't think I would like to be stranded on a desert island like Martine and Ben.

In Spelling I am going to try to pass O this week so I can be on P with Dylan.(I'm pretty sure i passed!!!)

In Production I am feeling pretty confident about my lines and I know I will try my hardest😎😉.

Hi my name is Kayden and im turning 10 in March, sometimes my friends call me kaydenay (kay-de-na-na-na) i love books my one of my fav series is goosebumps and hunger games. This week in math i found it fairly hard so í asked and when í got it i found it really easy.

The area game is really fun, and i played a ‘few’ games with Dylan. Dylan won all of them according to him!!!

THE BORROWERS FILM ANALYSE ESSAY

Director, Peter hewitt of the borrowers film does cross-cutting between Mr ocious P. potter.

Trying to find the will that said who the old house really belonged to. Then he crosscuts to

Arrietty and Pea Green trying to return the lost will back to pete of the lenders family.

compared to Pod.

Panning shows a figure  large room in a large room/place not big enough for the camera to fit it in, so the camera “pans” the area in.

This is it! We’re finally going to meet the mystery mouse.The box he was in was comforting my trembling hands as I brought into our (not tiny but not big) peppermint white kitchen. school fair preparations

SCHOOL FAIR PREPARATIONS

I'm doing the bin with Kerin I had just finished empting the bin in the skip bin when our car pulled 

up in front of it. I knew why mum was here.  Mum was here to help do baking for the school fair.  This was the first time I had gone.  Next me Flynn,Billy,Mum and Tyelar walked into the hall.

Baking was fun. It was home time and we hadn't finished, so Mum finished it with Tyelar.

Triathlon

Triathlon

I’m running my heart out coming to the zebra crossing, I give my legs a little rest. Oops I forgot to tell you what is going on, It’s Triathlon day, one of the school days I’m not looking forward. to The gates open I dash towards my super shiny bike, hop on it and scooter the first two meters then hop on get the rhythm and start pedaling away. I gain speed very quickly, I pass the other players fast that's the first first lap done, I count how many seconds it takes me to do the second lap, it takes me 1:54. I run towards the school crossing, It’s very very hard work my legs are killing me. Finally the gates open I sprint towards the pool, once it's my turn to get in I do an amazing dive. My legs are so tired I do freestyle without kicking for the first two laps then start kicking. After I get out of the pool, I put all of my effort into the run, my foot touches the finish line then everything stops. It’s over. I feel like I’m dead but happy that I finished.  ;D

learning conference 2016

Learning Conference


It's the night I've been dreading... learning conference night!!!!! We're waiting outside and Josh came out. Next we walked inside and I presented my mihi to my Mum. One of my learning goals was to focus and to pay more attention. The learning conference didn't go so well because I hadn't done the work to finish my powerpoint slides.  But it is finished now. I'm really happy with my goals now.

Da Vinci Visit

Da Vinci Visit 

I liked the Da Vinci visit.  My favourite thing at the museum was the magic mirrors. I saw some lucky tokens for sale. There were penguins on a glass wall. I was taller than all except the last one. My favourite machine was the castle idea. It was to put spikes in the castle walls so invaders could not climb them.

I liked going to the museum. It was fun to touch and play with the machines.
